04. Aligning Objects: Method 1

Ever wanted to align 2 or more objects? PowerPoint comes with a variety of ways to align them. First select the objects you want aligned by clicking on them while holding the shift key.

Next locate your "Arrange" tools. They can be found by selecting the images, then clicking the "Format" tab on the ribbon. The "Arrange" tools will be located towards the right of the ribbon. You will see the word "Allign". After you click on "Allign", a drop down menu will appear with various alignment and distribution settings. Then distribute according to your needs.

Helpful Hints
If you are aligning images on the left side of the page consider aligning them left; on the right side consider aligning them right. This will help keep the audience's focus on the slides center.

PowerPoint allows you to add the "Align" Tools to your Quick Access Toolbar. To customize your Quick Access Toolbar please read Tip 01. Customize the Toolbars.
