17. Recoloring PowerPoint Clipart

Have you ever found the perfect clipart, but it wasn't the color you wanted? By ungrouping your clipart, individual pieces can be selected for recoloring.

Upgroup your clipart.

After inserting your clipart, select your clipart by clicking on your image once. This will bring up the "Picture Tools" tab on the ribbon, click on the "Format" tab right under it. Towards the right is the "Group" button.

Click "Group" and then "Ungroup".

Alternatively, you can right click on the image, go to "Group", and then select "Ungroup".

The following warning may appear.

Click "Yes".

Repeat these steps until you no longer have the "Ungroup" option available. Once it is no longer available, select the piece or pieces you would like recolored.

Once the piece has been selected, a "Drawing Tools" tab will appear on the ribbon, click the "Format" tab directly under it, then click "Shape Fill" to open a drop down menu with various coloring options.

Click on "More Fill Colors" then choose the new color for your image.
